Gala Bingo Falls Victim to Knife Wielding Criminals
A bingo club located in Lakeside has fallen victim to a group of masked hoodlums, touting knives, terrifying the living daylights out of the bingo clubs customers and staff alike. The main intention of the criminals is to rob the bingo hall's cash.
The suspects of the robbery are composed of at least five men. They broke into the Gala Club at the same time as the staff was counting the earnings of the club for that day. The criminals got away with more than 20,000 UK Pounds in cash.
Fortunately, no one suffered a serious injury among the staff and customers. They were just really shaken about the incident and some suffered minor injuries from the pushing and shoving that they have experienced from the perpetrators. The incident happened around 10:00 p.m. on Friday.
According to one of the authorities assigned to the case, Det. Sgt. David Bishop, the gang broke into the Gala Bingo Club and one of them vaulted over the reception desk and threatened the employee assigned to it. The group made their getaway after the robbery aboard a Daewoo Leganza with the registration number of RG02 ENV.
